The University of Kentucky Bands and School of Music present the
Second Annual University of Kentucky Windfest High School and Middle School Concert Band Festival

2013 Clinicians:
Professor James Keene, Director of Bands Emeritus, University of Illinois
Dr. Joseph Hermann, Director of Bands, Tennessee Tech University
Scott Rush, Director of Bands, Wando High School
Participation in the Windfest Concert Band Festival includes the following:
- Live performance for audience of other participating band students, teachers, family members, and friends in the SCFA Concert Hall
- Recorded performance evaluation provided by distinguished panel of nationally recognized band conductors and music educators
- Conducting / brass / woodwind / percussion evaluation provided by members of the UK Faculty
- High quality recording of live performance
- Twenty minute post-performance clinic for each band provided by a member of our distinguished panel
- Participation plaque presented to each participating band and director
- Final performance presented by the University of Kentucky Wind Ensemble
Additional Information
- Middle school bands will be scheduled to perform Saturday morning, followed by high school bands late morning and afternoon
- Appropriate space for assembly, storage, warm-up, and parking
- Entries accepted in order of received application until performance slots are filled
- Entry Fee: Middle Schools: $200 / High Schools: $300
